    AYURVEDA
    with Lorna Nafziger, E-RYT500, CYT

    Certified Body Balance Yoga® Teacher
    Anusara-Inspired™ Yoga Teacher
International Assoc. of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), member

Lorna began her yoga journey over 15 years ago. Starting slow using tapes and home methods, she soon realized that she felt really good after doing a little yoga. A little turned into a lot and it has thankfully become her “way of life” in all that she approaches—physically, mentally and spiritually. “Yoga was and is something to grow into but more importantly Yoga is the path.” Lorna’s first mentor was Brette Scott who opened the door to a true balance. It was through her classes that a whole new world of awareness opened around her life. "Yoga became my journey of self exploration." Utilizing the Yogic path through the Anusara System, Lorna became an RYT-200 and Anusara-Inspired™ teacher. She continues her studies emphasizing Ayurveda and therapeutics. As a teacher in training, she met her second mentor, Jenny Otto, and studied therapeutics with her for 2 years, training in Washington DC every month while living in Cleveland. “Jenny Otto changed my life and my way of practicing yoga. It is with an understanding of the postures, the body, thoughtfulness and love that I teach my student base. I am on a journey to educate myself and my students into a fuller richer yogic experience. Teachers are not stagnant; a teacher is an ever-evolving person who cares honors and inspires students through their spiritual journey. My greatest gratitude to Jenny Otto, Brette Scott, and the many friends and teachers I have met on this path and the excitement of the many more I have yet to meet."

    with Rixie Dennison

    Yoga Teacher
    Reflexologist
    Holistic Life Coach

With more than 15 years as a healing arts practitioner, and founder of Mandala Healing Arts, my mission is to realize a world where everyone is living a balanced, healthy lifestyle — where each individual becomes conscious of their gifts, and reorients their lives in order to share those gifts. My own journey of self-discovery began when I felt a “hole in my soul.” When I looked around I perceived everyone’s life moving along except mine. Not knowing where to turn, I started to take Yoga classes, hired a life coach, which was “cutting-edge” back then and simply asked for a lot of help. I began to learn how to connect with my inner self and to take care of my mind, my body, my emotions, and my spirit. Through the experience of working on my inner self, I have created my dream life that includes holistic life coaching, Reflexology and as a Yoga teacher at the Sun and Moon Yoga Studio in Fairfax, Virginia. I am convinced that the benefits of yoga and life coaching combined with the healing touch of reflexology can unlock everyone’s ability to live a balanced life. Over the years, I have facilitated weekend yoga retreats locally and a two-week women’s spiritual retreat in Tulum, Mexico in February the last 7 years. My coaching practice has included both individual and group coaching as well as mentoring women in various levels of personal and professional development. I have lead hundreds of creative and yoga workshops that are always well-attended and FUN! My newest passion is Yoga for 12 Step Recovery that I have created for anyone interested in enhancing their personal life or recovery program.
